We don’t all have to look and act the same. That’s why being a human is so unique, and so is each and every one of us. Kids learn by their parents that they need to fit in, and dress like their peers. But I know that it wouldn’t really be them! I love when children choose to be uniquely themselves, and there’s no way better to do that than art on our clothes! Do you tell your children what they have to wear?

One of the things I loved most when I began teaching in a Montessori classroom was seeing what happened when children were trusted with real work, real choices, and a prepared environment designed just for them.

But I also saw a reality many families face: Montessori education can be expensive and out of reach.

That’s part of why Little Explorers Lab was created.

We wanted to build a space where families could access hands-on learning, practical life experiences, creativity, exploration, and community without the cost of private school tuition.

Every child deserves opportunities to learn through doing, to build confidence, and to discover what they’re capable of.

Learning shouldn’t only be available to a few. ❤️

But the children were actually learning how to read a recipe, follow directions, sequence steps, make decisions, practice patience, and build confidence.

The best part?

When they finished, they decided to share some of their fruit kebabs with the physical therapists next door. ❤️

It’s the confidence to do it themselves, and the kindness to share it with someone else.
