This is hard to understand. It’s especially hard when you’re in the middle of it but you see, God does not promise a perfect life. In fact, Jesus says that in this world we will have troubles. Another example are Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego- God did not turn of the furnace but rather was in there with them and they came out without a single wound. There was a purpose. So if you’re in the middle of the fire, right there in your pain, God is meeting you. Today we closed a chapter as this was the last day we both went to the office as interns. Alex will keep it up for a couple more weeks but my part came to an end and I’m entering a season of rest. I look forward to Tuesdays with my girls and although this means my parents leave this weekend I’m very excited for the promise that the next season holds.

When you pray: keep praying for us as we keep walking in faith and stepping into something we feel is God calling us to do.
