Can I say something that nobody is saying from the pulpit?

A woman is sitting in church right now.

She knows every word to every worship song.

She has her Bible. She highlighted the scriptures. Her years of faithful service.

And inside —

She is completely running on empty.

She smiles when the pastor asks who is believing God for a breakthrough.

She raises her hand at the right moments.

She says all the right things after service.

And then she gets in her car.

And the mask comes off.

And she is so tired.

So confused.

So quietly wondering —

Is this really all there is?

Did I miss something?

Is something wrong with me?

Sister —

I am writing this for you today.

Not the you that shows up on Sunday.

The real you.

The tired you.

The one who still believes but can barely feel it anymore.

I need you to hear this —

You are not broken.

You are not failing.

You are not too far gone.

You are burnt out.

And burnt-out believers deserve more than another devotional telling them to pray harder.

They deserve a community that will walk with them —

all the way back to the fire.

Your fire isn't gone, beloved.

It's waiting.

And so am I.
