La crianza es complicada. Obtener el pasaporte de su hijo(a) no debería serlo. Revise estos pasos antes de presentar la solicitud:
1. Complete e imprima el formato DS-11 usando nuestro formulario en línea.
2. Proporcione prueba de ciudadanía del menor.
3. Demuestre la relación parental (certificado de nacimiento o de adopción).
4. Presente las identificaciones de ambos padres/tutores legales.
5. Haga una cita en la Embajada o Consulado de EE.UU. más cercano a través de su sitio web. Usted, el niño y el otro padre/tutor legal deben asistir a la cita.
6. Traiga el formulario DS-11 completo y sin firmar, y pague la tarifa del pasaporte en pay.gov.
7. Presente todos los documentos originales y fotocopias junto con una foto reciente.
8. Ambos padres/tutores deben estar de acuerdo con la emisión del pasaporte. Si usted tiene la custodia legal del menor, traiga la orden de custodia en original.

4. Bring IDs for both parents/legal guardians.
5. Make an appointment at the nearest U.S Embassy or Consulate via their website. You, the child, and other parent/legal guardian must come to the appointment.
6. Complete (without signing) the DS-11 and pay the passport fee on pay.gov.
7. Bring all original documents and photocopies along with a recent photo.
8. Both parents/guardians must agree to the issuance of the passport. If you have sole legal authority of the child, bring your original custody order.
