Consignor Spotlight: Circle F Farms

A proud four-year consignor of The Brahmans at the Camellia Sale, Circle F Farms made waves in 2022 by purchasing the high-selling lot, MF Ms. Polled Emma 9/1 (PP), who has since become one of their most prolific and profitable donors. Two years ago they purchased an aspiration at The Camellia on the 2024 International Reserve Grand Champion AT Miss Hazel 940/1 and will be offering one of the resulting calves in this year’s sale.

Owned by Woody Folsom of Baxley, GA, Circle F Farms stands as the largest Registered Brahman breeder in the Southern U.S. With over 5,000 breeding females, five registered breeds, a commercial program, and their own retail beef store, this operation spans 12,000 acres and is known for their top-tier genetics and legacy.

Located in Floresville, Texas, Bar 80 Cattle is a husband-and-wife operation owned by Chris Varnon and Blair Bodden. After years in the commercial cattle business, they made the decision in 2021 to reintroduce purebred Brahmans to their program, focusing on the breed’s longevity, vigor, and drought tolerance.

What started as a diversification effort quickly turned into a passion for the breed. Today, Bar 80 Cattle is transitioning away from commercial production and concentrating on quality polled Red Brahman genetics.

We are grateful to have Bar 80 Cattle as part of this year’s Brahmans at the Camellia offering and look forward to seeing everyone on July 18 in Perkinston, Mississippi.
