Witch and Crow

We went to an estate sale this morning and found some old leather working tools. The edge burnisher will get used in our work while the maul and modeling tools will see more action with Black Magic Saddlery for replicating the tooling on antique saddles.

This dragon-themed horseman's belt was just delivered to one of the fight masters at Sherwood Forest Faire .

Brilliant green and jet black ornamented with steel and nickel fittings, this 5" belt is covered with hand-carved designs from a number of cultures, including Norse, Celtic, Danish, Arabic, and Spanish.

As always, this is gear, not a costume: the belt is built on a base of 9 oz Cowhide, with 2-3 layers of Cowhide above that. Not riveted construction, but hand-punched and hand-stitched at every point.

No lasers, air-brushes, stamping, or tooling - everything you see is hand carved, hand painted. Leather art.

The Dragon Rider is a custom set made for a mounted archer client.

Bowcase, quiver, bracers, and saddle bag done with custom carvings and backfilled color. A mix of Mongol and Tatar artwork compliment the theme.
