Are you a talented lighting designer looking to work on exciting projects in themed entertainment, retail, and live entertainment? Chris Werner Design is looking for a Lighting Design Assistant for a temporary, contract gig.⁠

We've got cool projects.⁠
We could use some help making them awesome.⁠
⁠
The ideal person:⁠
-Holds a degree in Lighting Design (BA, BFA, or MFA)⁠
-Is proficient in a drafting application ( , , or )⁠
-Is proficient in typical office applications (Word, Excel, etc)⁠
-Has an understanding of lighting control principles (DMX, sACN, etc)⁠
-Is a great communicator⁠
-Is organized and detail-oriented⁠
-Is interested in learning new skills and processes⁠
-Is kind, patient, curious⁠
-Has a valid passport⁠
-Is eligible for work in the United States⁠
-Is typically able to collaborate during Pacific timezone business hours⁠
⁠
Likely tasks:⁠
-concept development and research⁠
-product evaluations and mock-ups⁠
-budgeting and organizing⁠
-drafting and documenting⁠
-focus and programming⁠
-meetings and note-taking⁠
-support the rest of the creative team⁠
⁠

-themed entertainment⁠
-immersive experiences⁠
-retail environments⁠
-live entertainment⁠

-Temporary/contract position (6 months, negotiable)⁠
-Opportunity for contract renewal or extension⁠
-Competitive rate for Junior Designer or Assistant role⁠
-Mix of remote/work-from-home and on-location work, requiring travel⁠
-On-location work could require navigating an active construction site⁠
