As an artist we usually show our emotions through our chosen mediums. Over this past year I’ve been dealt blow after blow and I caught myself slipping into depression. I was feeling isolated and like I couldn’t do enough and it was driving me crazy. I was bombarded and overwhelmed by feelings I had no words for. This pattern is my best attempt at transmuting what’s going on inside my mind.

I added the snakes to the shoot because they’ve been an ongoing theme in my life since I was younger, the Ouroborus, the snake eating itself was my first tattoo. It signifies the resurrection in my life and the cycle of rebirth that we go through as artists.

Ny was the perfect model for this not bc of her undeniable beauty but bc she’s one of the few that got these designs when they were merely just ways of expressing the convoluted chasms or my cranium.
