When competing in figure skating, athletes are required to do their own makeup—even at a very young age. This talented young lady is only 10 years old and came in for a makeup lesson so she could learn how to apply her competition makeup herself.

In figure skating, judging isn’t based solely on skating ability. Competitors are also evaluated on their overall presentation, including their appearance, hairstyle, makeup, costume, and how well they complete their performance. It was such a pleasure helping her build the skills and confidence she’ll need both on and off the ice! In this small clip, you can see how we are teaching her how to do contouring.
