What started as a summer internship turned into a museum installation now on view at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts. Rice senior Will Marsden helped bring Houston’s art history to life through an exhibition exploring the legacy of the groundbreaking 1971 “De Luxe Show.”

We honor the life and legacy of Dr. Richard Tapia — an internationally renowned mathematician, National Medal of Science recipient and one of Rice University’s most impactful educators.
Through his groundbreaking work, mentorship and lifelong commitment to expanding access in STEM, Dr. Tapia empowered generations of students to pursue their dreams with confidence and purpose.
His legacy will continue to inspire the Rice community and countless others for years to come.
