Dear Rucker Community:

Thank you for attending our Rucker Meet the Teacher event!

Our students will be required to use clear or mesh backpacks this year and wear red, white, or blue collared shirts and blue or khaki uniform bottoms.

The first day of the new school year for students will be August 28, 2023. We have new school hours this year under direction from Superintendent Miles. All students PK-5th grade will begin school at 8:00 a.m. PK-1st grades will dismiss at 3:00, 2nd grade at 3:30, and 3rd-5th grades at 4:00. If you have multiple children in different grade levels, you are more than welcome to come just one time at the oldest sibling’s dismissal time. We will accept students into the building beginning at 6:30 a.m. All students must be picked up no later than 5:00 p.m.

Only parents of PK and K students will be allowed to enter the building in the morning with a photo ID. All other parents should plan to drop off students at the door.

If you would like for your child to have breakfast at school, please ensure that he/she arrives at 7:15 a.m.

The use of Rucker dismissal (car or walker) tags is very important for a safe dismissal. If all parents have their dismissal tags on the first day of school, we will have a very quick and smooth dismissal process. Parents who do NOT have car tags on the first day of school will be asked to park and walk to the front entrance with a photo ID.

Nuestros estudiantes deberán usar mochilas transparentes o de malla este año y usar camisas estilo polo de color rojo, blanco o azul y pantalones de uniforme azul marino o caqui.

El primer día del nuevo año escolar para los estudiantes será el 28 de agosto de 2023. Tenemos nuevas horas escolares este año bajo la dirección del Superintendente Miles. Todos los estudiantes de PK-5to grado comenzarán la escuela a las 8:00 a.m. PK-1er grado despedirá a las 3:00, 2do grado a las 3:30 y 3er-5to grado a las 4:00. El uso de etiquetas de despido (coche o caminando) es muy importante para un despido seguro. Si todos los padres tienen sus etiquetas de despido el primer día de clases, tendremos un proceso de despido muy rápido y sin problemas. A los padres que NO tienen etiquetas en el primer día de clases se les pedirá que se estacionen y caminen hasta la entrada principal con una identificación con foto.
