So Dream Con is a con that features notable people and personalities in media and pop culture just like most every other convention. What makes it different to me is their focus on inclusivity and diversity. Creating things that appeal to pop culture lovers but not just the same old subject matter is what I love to do! I believe last year was their first year in HTX and it looked amazing. The guests, the panels, all of the things. I had a real sense of fomo especially after meeting soooo many people who said "you GOTTA be there next year!"

So I applied, and let me tell ya if I HAD to be there, it was gonna take a little bit of a financial miracle. But I said LFG, and clicked send on that app. Quite honestly, the way my year had been going in terms of events, I probably wasn't getting in anyway. Then, on the 14th, I totaled my car and any dreams, Dream Con or otherwise. As luck would have it, right after I got off of the phone with the insurance company, I saw the email, "You're in!" My response was,"You gotta be kidding. "

I was resigned to just say to hell with everything when someone asked how they could help, and I wondered if anyone else would want to help me and here we are. Almost at my goal and still shocked, excited, humbled to know that people care about me and TJD. At this point, I have no choice but to be , a dream I couldn't even consider without y'all!
