It's hot outside but it looks like winter in this mill today! We are finishing up some custom pipe protection caps made from Delrin. This material is DuPont's homopolymer acetal and is a great all-around plastic due to its strength, dimensional stability, and low coefficient of friction which produces less wear. As you can see, it machines nicely and comes off in "chips" as opposed to "strings" which requires more management. We love machining plastics here at PlasTex Precision Manufacturing!!
