Today, Outlaw Insurance Group turns 2.

Two years ago, we opened our doors with a simple goal: take care of people the right way.

Since then, we’ve celebrated wins, learned some hard lessons, fought through challenges, and had the privilege of helping incredible businesses and families protect what matters most.

What we’re most proud of isn’t the premium we’ve written or the policies we’ve sold. It’s the relationships.

Whether you’ve trusted us with your insurance, referred a friend, liked a post, shared our name, or simply cheered us on from the sidelines, we appreciate you and thank you for being part of our story.

Here’s to two years of grit, growth, and having our clients’ backs.

Happy Birthday, Outlaw.

🚨 Property Market Alert

The property market has softened significantly, and carriers are actively looking to grow.

If you haven't reviewed your property insurance in a few years, now is a great time to take another look.

We're seeing more competition, more options, and opportunities that simply weren't available a few years ago.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country.

Not for recognition.
Not for attention.
But out of duty, sacrifice, and love for something bigger than themselves.

Freedom has never been free, and today is about honoring those who paid that price.

As a veteran-owned business family, this day carries deep meaning in our home. We are grateful for those who served, those we’ve lost, and the families who continue to carry their memory forward.

Today, we remember.

❤️🤍💙

Thoughtful Thursday from Outlaw Insurance Group

My husband took me to see this century plant blooming on a friend’s ranch a couple of weeks ago.

Being a plant girl, it was honestly kind of beautiful and emotional at the same time.

Century plants spend years quietly growing before they finally bloom. And when they do, they don’t do it halfway. They shoot up something incredible that can be seen from far away.

It made me think a lot about business ownership lately, especially as we get closer to Outlaw’s 2-year anniversary.

So much of building a business happens in the quiet seasons:
long days
learning curves
hard conversations
planting seeds
building relationships
showing up consistently even when growth feels slow

Sometimes it’s hard to see progress when you’re in the middle of it.

But every once in a while, you look up and realize:
the roots were growing the whole time.

We’re incredibly thankful for every client, referral partner, friend, and supporter who has been part of these first two years.

Here’s to continuing to grow something meaningful! 🥂

🚨 Insurance Tip Tuesday 🚨

One of the biggest misconceptions we see in commercial insurance:

“A Certificate of Insurance means I’m covered.”

Not necessarily.

A COI is informational. It does not change your policy language or automatically satisfy contract requirements.

We regularly see contracts requiring:
✔ Additional Insured wording
✔ Waiver of Subrogation
✔ Primary & Non-Contributory wording
✔ Specific Auto Symbols
✔ Higher Limits or Special Endorsements

…but the actual policy may not match what the contract requires.

Unfortunately, most businesses don’t discover the problem until:

a claim happens
a project owner rejects paperwork
payment gets held up
legal gets involved

The details matter more than ever in today’s market.

Thoughtful Thursday from Outlaw Insurance

Today was one of those days.

You know the kind where nothing is catastrophic… but somehow everything stacks up at once?

My dog broke my computer screen.
I fell and bruised my knee.
That same dog destroyed my favorite sandals.
Our pool side collapsed.
The second windshield replacement still didn’t fix the issue, so now they have to come out a third time.
And to top it all off? The water flavor packets I love didn’t come with the Walmart order. 😅

Now individually, every one of these things is minor. Honestly, most of them are silly.

But all together?
I could feel myself getting overwhelmed and headed toward a full crash out.

Then I remembered our 5 year rule.

If it won’t matter in 5 years, we try not to let it steal too much of today.

That doesn’t mean things can’t be frustrating. It doesn’t mean you have to pretend everything is sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes you just have to sit there and admit, “Wow, today kinda sucked.”

But it does help put things into perspective.

Five years from now, I won’t care about the sandals.
Or the windshield.
Or the pool.
Or the missing water flavor packets.

What I will care about is whether I let a hard day ruin my attitude, my peace, or the way I treated the people around me.

Sometimes the little things pile up so loudly that they feel big.

But not everything deserves permanent space in our minds.

And sometimes the best thing you can do is laugh a little, regroup, and remind yourself:

"This probably won’t matter in 5 years."

Insurance Tip Tuesday

Water and equipment don’t mix nearly as well as people think they do.

One bad spot, soft ground, flash flooding, or pond edge can turn into a very expensive day very quickly.

A lot of equipment owners assume water damage is automatically covered — but coverage can depend on how the damage happened, the type of policy, and whether the equipment was specifically scheduled correctly.

Recovery costs alone can be brutal before you ever get to repairs.

If you own heavy equipment, it’s worth making sure your coverage actually matches what you’re doing day to day.

And yes… Outlaw writes that too.
