Frequently I get patients who come in because their lower dentures don’t snap in so well. After evaluating their mouth, I usually find this. Excessive plaque and/or tartar buildup around the locator abutment. You have to make sure that you brush and clean those metal Attachments, just like you would brush and clean your teeth. If plaque and or tartar starts to grow on it, it will affect the ability for the snaps to engage. .

Another “denture tune up” for one of our patients who received an immediate denture that just never “fit right”. We made sure that it could fit appropriately, and then temporary relined with TrueSoft. The patient came with dentures in a 📦 and left with a full 😀!

Here is another one of our recent denture cases. The patient had rampant cavities. We were able to create a smile design digitally and make a digitally milled immediate dentures. The final result is BEAUTIFUL!

Sometimes we are able to adjust an existing set of dentures to help a patient. Why make a new set if the existing set looks like they have never been worn? Some times the dentures are just overextended and maybe just need to be adjusted and relined. If the dentures look like they re really worn down, we may need to make a new set of dentures.
