Thinned out many records, books, clothes, and other chingaderas last season. Steady making lots of room in my life and home for the many good things along the way and on the way. 2025 was another really special year, is there any other kind? The gig and tour calendar is filling up, processes and projects are getting steady executed and completed. Feeling pretty darn good. Love to my pals all around.

This concert in the Fall of 2025 was an extraordinary evening of music, beauty, and emotion, thoroughly enjoyed with my colleagues on stage as we celebrated our culture, history, and future. We played some originals, debuted new material that will be featured on our upcoming release in 2026, and curated selections of regional covers representing the Gulf Coast cities and the music that has been the soundtrack for multiple generations. It was a true honor to perform on the stage of the Coolidge Auditorium at The Library of Congress in Washington DC. I wanted to share this experience with my family, friends, and those who follow my work in music and history. I'm posting more soon, but for now, check this out! Shout out to Isaac Rodriguez for being the main recipient of this great award from the American Folklife Center and for having my band and Tejas Roots Music as part of this unforgettable event.
