His STORY:

One day, while driving through the neighborhood on my way home, I saw this sweet and harmless little dog standing in the middle of the street. I stopped the car, got out, and called him over. Without hesitation, he came right to me and let me pick him up.

Once he was in the truck, I planned to scan him to see who his owners were, because it was clear he had been well-groomed and cared for, which meant he definitely belonged to someone.

As I kept driving, I noticed a woman in the distance holding a leash. I immediately thought she must be the owner. I stopped, rolled down the window, and sure enough, she was. The dog had escaped, and she asked me if I wanted to keep him.

Surprised, I asked her why she was offering him away, if it was because she didn’t want him. She answered that she simply didn’t have time for him but also admitted she wasn’t sure about giving him up yet, because she wanted him to have puppies first. 😱 BIG RED FLAG!

I stayed calm and gave her my phone number, telling her to please call me if she ever decided to give him up. A few days later, she did, THANK GOD!

Today, Poppie is neutered and ready to find a wonderful forever family, one that truly wants him, has time for him, and most importantly, will love him with all their heart! ❤️🐾
