Official Notice: Houston Salsa Dancers, Inc. and Amaya Dance have mutually agreed to conclude their collaboration and cancel the upcoming events scheduled for January 16–17. We appreciate the community’s understanding and continued support.
Today, after a conversation with Salomon Amaya, owner of AMAYA Dance, we have made the mutual decision to end our collaboration this coming Friday January 16th at AMAYA’s Pop-Social as HSD and HSC were providing the international artist, Jorge Martinez, FREE OF CHARGE.
All tickets, flyers, and event descriptions were created on the HSC website, Facebook and Instagram with consent from Salomon Amaya - Amaya Dance.
Houston Salsa Dancers, Inc and Amaya Dance have mutually decided to also cancel the Salsa Masterclass workshops scheduled on Saturday January 17th. Both organizations have been committed to the Houston dance community for over 25 years. After a long discussion, both organizations concluded that proceeding would not meet the standards each are committed to upholding.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We understand many of you have invested time and resources in preparing for this event, and we do not take this decision lightly.
