Join us for Hope on the Court!🏓
Kevin, an 11 year old from Tomball, was recently severely injured and suffered a traumatic brain injury. He is now awake. After 13 long days, Kevin has woken up. He’s not yet speaking or following commands, but we are incredibly thankful he’s back with us. Now it’s our turn to rally for him.
Join us for Rally for Kevin, a charity pickleball tournament at Pickleball Social - Cypress. Leagues for kids, beginners, experienced players, plus open play - fun for the whole family. All proceeds will go to help Kevin and his family with medical and recovery needs.
How you can help:
-Buy a ticket to play or spectate (link provided in event link)
-Donate if you can’t attend - every dollar helps
Share this post and invite friends to join.
Let’s show Kevin what our community can do. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support.

Over the past week, The TESS Foundation was connected with Kevin Barahona, an 11-year-old boy who was critically injured in a motorized scooter crash. Kevin suffered a major brain bleed and severe trauma, including serious head and facial injuries, a collapsed lung, internal bleeding, and a fractured wrist. Since the crash, he has been unconscious as doctors worked around the clock to stabilize him.
Today, we received a moment of hope—Kevin opened his eyes. 🤍
It’s a small step, but one that means everything to his family and the community rallying behind him.
Kevin’s mom, Regina, has been by his side every step of the way and is now facing mounting medical and living expenses as Kevin begins a long road to recovery.
💘 On Valentine’s Day, we will be partnering with Kevin’s family to host a Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser —bringing the community together to surround this family with love, support, and tangible help during the hardest chapter of their lives.
All funds raised will go directly toward:
* Medical bills
* Living expenses while Regina remains at the hospital
* Travel, parking, and lodging for appointments
* Future rehabilitation, therapy, and medical equipment

The Tess Foundation and the Asian American Peace Officers' Association - AAPOA are so grateful for a morning filled with love and community.
Thank you to Walmart for hosting us, and to the Harris County District Attorney's Office, Office of Constable Alan Rosen, Harris County Constable Precinct 1, Houston Police Department, and Harris County Sheriff's Office for showing up with such big hearts — and to MADD Texas for standing with these families. Together, we were honored to serve 24 kids who lost parents or siblings in car crashes, with each child receiving $200 to help bring a little Christmas joy this holiday season. 🎄✨

At the TESS Foundation, we understand that trauma and hardship can turn a family’s world upside down — emotionally and financially. 💜
By donating school supplies to Alief Independent School District’s Guidance Division, we hope to lift a small weight off families’ shoulders and remind students that their community believes in them. These supplies ensure students have what they need to keep learning, healing, and thriving.

TESS Foundation was proud to co-host a Christmas in July Shop with a Cop event alongside the Asian American Peace Officers' Association - AAPOA, Alief Independent School District, and Walmart.
With support from deputy constables from Pct. 4 & Terry Allbritton, Harris County Constable Precinct 5, the Harris County District Attorney's Office, and an incredible group of volunteers, we had the honor of serving 17 courageous students whose lives have been impacted by crime—including those navigating the trauma of roadway crashes, violence, and unimaginable loss.
Each child left with new school supplies to start the new school year—and a reminder that they are supported, valued, and never alone. 💙📚
We’re grateful to all who helped make this day one of healing, hope, and community.
