Jokes on you. AP has won again on master class branding and exclusivity. BRILLIANT play at IP and marketing imo. Will create soooo much more hype for the brand as the real ballers will just wear it as a keychain or charm.

Business isn’t just about revenue / money. It’s about relationships more than anything. Establishing it is one of the most important things you can do as a successful clothing brand owner. Understand eachother on a deeper level and it can heavily aid in your success. They’ll go to bat for you in ways that you can’t even imagine.

You wouldn’t want your customers to low ball your brand so why do you do it to others? We all have to make a profit. Thats the basic economics of business lol. Allow people to make a profit so that in the end, your profit will also be higher ☺️

When new clothing brands brag that they’ve done $1M in sales, they make it seem like they profited that much. Real veterans know how much that actually profits, and it’s ALOT less than you think. These are estimated breakdowns that I’ve used if you are brand new and have absolutely zero influence that require media buying to do all of the revenue. I’m also considering you actually doing over 3 ROAS which is also tough lol. Again, people post 7 figures as if it’s actually 7 figures profit to sell you a dream. It’s not that easy to profit 7 figures in your pocket.

So the next time you do 7 figures in sales but wonder why you don’t have 7 figures in your pocket, look at all the cost factors for contribution margin. It costs a lot of money to make money. 🙃

If your complaint is that your products took too long to complete, you’re not alone. EVERY SINGLE BRAND in existence goes through this. This is why you see actual fashion brands on runway over 2 years out. Sometimes even more. Because conceptualization to go to market is actually a very long and expensive process. R&D isn’t cheap. Products usually take a minimum of 6 months to a year depending on complexity, sometimes longer. Also, Sometimes the simpler a product, the longer it can also take lol.

All in all, patience is the name of the game. If it was easy, everyone would do it. Apparel brands are not for the weak lol. Chances are what you’re complaining about, I’ve seen it and I’ve heard it.

Most apparel brands don’t pop off until almost a decade. 😊 this industry exposes who actually does it for the love of the game and who just does it for the money.
