🩺 CTE Month Spotlight: Health Science 🩺
💙Sherri Humphrey teaches Principles of Therapeutic Healthcare and Medical Terminology, introducing students to careers focused on helping others stay healthy and recover from illness or injury. Students learn foundational healthcare skills, medical language, patient care, safety practices, and professional communication—preparing them for future pathways in therapy, nursing, and other medical fields.
💙Sarah Ponce teaches Anatomy & Physiology and Medical Microbiology, guiding students through functional anatomy and how body systems work together to maintain homeostasis. In Medical Microbiology, students explore diseases, treatments, and microbial structures—building strong scientific knowledge for future health and medical careers.

💙Lynann DeJarnett introduces students to Culinary Arts through hands-on learning in cooking, nutrition, and healthy living. Her classes emphasize kitchen safety, simple recipes, and employability skills like teamwork, responsibility, and time management—helping students build confidence and real-world readiness.
đź’™Shoshoni Phillips prepares students for the Hospitality & Tourism pathway by focusing on Culinary Arts and workforce skills. Students learn time management, problem-solving, teamwork, and strong work ethics, gaining the skills needed to be successful in both the kitchen and future careers.
