I made this cake for an FHE baking night a while back. It's a Chocolate Chip Cookie Chocolate Cherry Cake. Which means I mixed chocolate chip cookie dough bits and cherries into the chocolate cake batter. The cream cheese frosting is flavored with maraschino cherry juice, which is what gives it it's light pink color and cherry flavor. It's 2 layers, with a center filling of frosting mixed with lots of cherries. I decorated it with dipping chocolate that I melted and cut into strips, cherries, and and a chocolate chip cookie. ⁠

I got the idea for this cake by combining quite a few of my favorite things together. All it's missing to be my absolute favorite would be ice cream. 😋 Though it was pretty tasty, even without ice cream, if I do say so myself. ⁠

It took me forever to get the pink frosting as smooth on the cake as possible. Does anyone else have this problem when decorating, or is it just me?⁠
