Day One at RODEOHOUSTON World Championship Bar-B-Que Contest is officially in the books!

The smoke was rolling, the pits were hot, and the energy was unmatched. Proud to represent Lavaca County and spend time with great folks from across Texas at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

We’re here, we’re ready, and Lavaca County Area Go Texan is officially kicking off our part of the festivities and fun at the World Championship Bar-B-Que Contest!

From Lavaca County to the big stage in Houston — if you’re nearby, come by, say hello, and help us show everyone how Lavaca County does BBQ.

Turning in our Lavaca County Quilt Entry to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. I always love looking at all the beautiful quilts on display at the rodeo. We hope to see a blue ribbon on it.
