Most people think letting go starts with forgiveness.
I don’t think it does.
I think it starts with honesty.
Because so many of us are trying to “move on” while still carrying years of emotional constriction in our nervous system. Old resentment. Lingering grief. Disappointment we never processed.
Conversations we replay in our heads. Betrayal we minimized. Stress we normalized. Versions of ourselves we’re still ashamed of.
And the truth is that unprocessed emotional weight doesn’t just disappear because time passes.
It chills out in the background.
Quietly shaping your reactions, relationships, the way you create. And your ability to feel safe, connected, open, joyful, or present.
Sometimes these constrictions are obvious, but a lot of times they aren't. They might even be completely invisible...
..Until they're not.
That's why the first step inside The Art of Letting Go is not about fixing anything just yet, but just about starting to wake up and become aware of what you’re still carrying.
If you're reading this, you're probably like me and struggle to create peace, joy, abundance, or emotional freedom while pretending you're are unaffected by what you've lived through.
The Art of Letting Go begins Wednesday this week.

I just had a great question in my inbox, essentially:
“Will I actually be able to release this resentment forever, or will it always be here?”
This is a great question.
With the process I use,
⋆˚꩜。 The first goal is to neutralize long standing feelings and / or immediate triggers.
˚⟡˖ ࣪ The next goal is to get better at it and do it faster.
⭑.ᐟ And then maybe one day the feeling goes away.
Example: There was once someone in a situation I where I felt hurt. Years later, this person apologized. But then the person again did something that felt very disingenuous and dishonest. A bunch of my friends supported this person and at the time I wanted to yell from the rooftops, “They’re a liar!” (I didn’t…) Lollll
I had to initially create distance because I was so triggered.
But now it’s been a couple years and I don’t feel triggered about it at all. ❤️🩹
And it’s also true that there might be things that ache for a long time or forever.
Either way, I just want to get better at feeling better and I’m really excited to help a bunch of other people do that too.
