Hoy mi corazón está con Valeria. Tuve la bendición de conocerla en la Ciudad de México. Desde ese momento, su alegría, su dulzura y esa forma tan especial de conectar con todos quedaron grabadas en mí. Era una niña llena de vida, ocurrida, amiguera… de esas personas que iluminan cualquier espacio con su presencia. Abrazo su recuerdo y agradezco el regalo de haber coincidido con ella.

Hoy abrazo con todo mi cariño a su mamá Maria Alexandra, a su hermana Andy, a su tia Sonnia, a su padrino Pepe y a toda su familia. Las envuelvo en mis oraciones, pidiendo por el eterno descanso de Valeria y por la paz que solo Dios puede dar en momentos como este.

Quiero pensar que su abuelita Marujita la estaba esperando en la puerta del cielo, recibiéndola con ese amor infinito que no se pierde, solo se transforma.

Descansa en paz, Valeria 🤍 Tu luz seguirá viva en todos los que tuvimos la dicha de conocerte.

Closing my 3rd residency of the first semester of my Executive DBA journey (December 10th, 2025) felt like standing at the intersection of four E's: exhausted, expanded, excited, and elevated.

This semester was intense and transformative. I had the privilege of learning from three incredible professors and perspectives: Grand Challenges for Business, Global Strategic Leadership, and Principles of Research Methods—and from 25 extraordinary classmates whose insights, generosity, and brilliance stretched my thinking in ways I could never have imagined. I feel profoundly changed by this community and this opportunity to grow.

My research continues to evolve around a central question: Does increasing business financial literacy and financial empowerment among Latina entrepreneurs lead to greater profitability? This semester deepened my conviction that knowledge alone is not enough—empowerment is the catalyst that turns financial insight into confident action and sustainable business results.

Grateful beyond words to my professors, cohort, mentors, clients, family, and friends who make this doctoral journey possible. This is expansion in every sense—intellectual, professional, and personal. Onward to Semester 2: Spring 2026!
