Hey there! I'm Chuck Hagy. The author of Sleepy Christians and Pastor of Journey Church in Howard, OH. These are my 4 girls—Ellie, Emma, Abby and Josie along with my beautiful wife Tara.

We ourselves spent many years in the role of playing "church". A slow dissatisfaction with what I was experiencing in ministry came from the realization that what Jesus had promised to His followers was not fully taking place in the people of our church; not even in me, and I was the pastor! Journey was a place where broken people would come because it was a place of love and grace for everyone, however it was rare to see them set free from the bo***ge troubling them. There was no transformation. Now we can all assume there must be some sort of magic prayer or the right words to say to create transformation... but there's not. God isn't a vending machine, you can't put a quarter in and get something out.

What was lacking was the most important ingredient—His Presence.
