💪👏 Apprentice Highlight

Meet Austin, a first-year (going on second) apprentice with Laborers Local 860 working for Tri Mor Corp.

We caught up with Austin during his Confined Space class with Instructor Patrick this past training season to learn what motivated him to join the union, his experience as an apprentice so far, and how training is helping him succeed on the job.

Preparing for upcoming work with our Gunite class💪

This season, Instructor Scott brought back the Gunite class at the request of one of our Locals. The Gunite class is not regularly scheduled at OLTC, as it is less common than it once was, but Gunite is still extremely effective for waterproofing, soundproofing, and fortifiying structures.

Students in the class practiced setup, gunman, and nozzleman responsibilities, gunning techniques, thickness control, and finishing methods. Check them out in action!
