I hit the brace wood lottery!
I got all this bracewood from a man that had it for 20 years! It has amazing taptone and is old growth, amazing quality! Now to find a place in my shop to store it 😅

Finished this Brazilian beauty for a client! Came out amazing!

The world lost a great teacher and guitarist.
Robert Guthrie was an amazing person, a true artist and thoughtful instructor. He made students feel like they mattered. He never squashed enthusiasm, he was encouraging and kind. He never used jargon and esoteric concepts to show off knowledge. He taught some world class guitarists, yet when the topic would come up he would simply say “they would have been great without me” or “they were already great before I met them”.
He had the ability to make complicated techniques seem easy, he would say “that’s it! You got it! He bought a guitar that I made (I think it was the 4th guitar I ever built) and that meant a lot to me early on.
Most important of all he was a Christian.
Will miss you Bob.
