Child Care Connections serving Columbia & Greene Counties

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Kaity Altu from Family of Woodstock to lead a Breath, Body, Mind workshop at our Early Learning Program. The workshop centered around helping children and their caregivers develop mindfulness skills to better understand and regulate emotions. Kaity shared valuable resources that provide both children and adults with insights on emotional intelligence and regulation, empowering them to navigate their feelings with confidence and empathy. We’re so grateful to Kaity for facilitating this enriching experience, and we’re excited to announce that she will be returning each month to lead her free workshops for families participating in our Early Learning Program at Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood! These workshops are perfect for children ages 0 to 5 and their caregivers, providing essential tools to build emotional intelligence and mindfulness from a young age. Teaching mindfulness to children not only helps them manage emotions but also strengthens their focus and attention—key skills that are foundational for early literacy and lifelong learning. Mindful children are better equipped to listen, learn, and engage with the world around them. 📚🎶 Exciting news! Our Early Learning Program for children ages 0-5 is now open for fall enrollment! Starting Monday, September 9th, we’ll be welcoming little ones every Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 12 PM. With engaging activities like music, movement, STEAM projects, and daily read-alouds, your child will enjoy a fun, school-like atmosphere that boosts early literacy.
