To all the detractors, we take pride in listening to learn not listening to win, along with truth being our most cherished value.

We have asked the J6er’s to tell their stories. We will find out together if they have remorse, or if they do, over which parts. If they dont have remorse we will want to know if there is any legitimacy for not having it.

We cannot fathom how so many of you can scream that the RTC is glorifying that day. No one yet has shown where in the flyer it says these people are heros, or this is any kind of celebration, or anything else, but conversation. What you're saying says more about you than of our RTC. There is a thing in WWE pro wrestling called KAYFABE. It very much applies to what passes for political discourse nowadays.

The Hudson RTC defends everyones right to have their own opinion, but will push back on anyone who thinks they can have their own facts. Many things stated are factually not true or are distortions. for example, The only one person died that day, not dozens, and it was Ashli Babbitt, fatally shot by one of the capitol police. Look at the video of Trump saying go peacefully protest. Also look at the requests from Trump asking for additional police, that were denied. What about audio of Pelosi saying this was all her fault? Truth, the destruction and damage done was inexcusable, but is it justice for everyone to be charged with that damage, including the people not inside but just in the area? Alan Dershowitz, no Republican, but is a Harvard law professor says the overwhelming majority were overcharged and are not terrorists or insurectionalists. Yet you all say you are very informed and believe to the contrary. Why? This is more complicated than portrayed by news media. You all can poo poo these facts but that makes you all the denyiers. Civics Matters is for those wanting to hear with their own ears the most direct version, not a bastardized version formatted to make a great story that needs to fit a time slot.

It is our most sincerest wish that those who come, will come with an open mind reserving final judgment until after hearing directly from the source, tho admittedly from which end of the horse it comes from remains to be seen.

Next month we are inviting the candidates for local office, and April we are inviting finance committee to go over warrant articles. This is what Civics Matters is. To all those who believe otherwise you have the wrong end of stick.
