i used to sing this song all the time when i was pregnant with Wynter.

my album, ladybird came out right before she was born
& listening back now feels like opening a little time capsule

i don’t think i realized at the time how much this song was about trying to hold onto the little things that made me feel like myself
especially during a season where everything in my life was changing

i was about to become a mother for the first time
and it was both the most exciting and terrifying thing i had ever experienced

i wish 2023 me could see how beautifully everything turned out.
