This client came in with noticeable discoloration throughout her lips and wanted a more balanced, even-toned appearance. During her appointment, I first worked to neutralize the uneven pigmentation before layering in her desired target color for a soft, natural result.

We also made a subtle enhancement to the upper lip shape to create better symmetry and definition while still keeping everything looking natural and flattering to her features.

Lip blushing isn’t just about adding color it’s about correcting, balancing, and enhancing what you already have. These results will continue to soften and heal over the next several weeks, with the final healed color appearing lighter and more natural.

I get asked if I do cover-ups EVERY SINGLE DAY and the answer is usually no.

The truth is, I’m very selective about the cover-ups I take on. If you’ve been a client of mine for a while and have something small that fits my style, I’m willing to consider it. But please come to me with at least a few ideas of what you’d like.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone messages me and says, “Just tattoo whatever you want.” My response is usually, “Perfect! How about a shark, a dragon, or a leprechaun?” Suddenly they have opinions. 😂

All jokes aside, cover-ups are a challenge because every tattoo is different. In this case, we’ll be doing a second session because you can still see a little bit of the original black circle underneath. Why? Because the previous artist used very bold lines and packed the ink in deep, while my style focuses on fine-line work and soft shading.

Even with that challenge, we’re both really happy with the progress. Once it heals and we complete the touch-up session, it’s going to blend even better and look amazing.
