Pro tip: with all this rain we've been having, if your pool is filling up with water and it's getting close to the coping/deck... DRAIN WATER before it gets above the tile... especially if you have an older pool and issues with the mastic separating. This can cause tiles to start falling off and can cause a pool to pop/crack if water gets in underneath. It will start to float if it's not sealed properly.

Easy tips to reduce the water levels:
1. BACKWASH filter
2. Let water flow out of the air relief valve for a while
3. Use a submersible pump to drain water out of the pool

We have more rain coming so CHECK your drains around the pool to make sure they are not clogged or covered with debris. If the pool does end up overfilled and flows over.... the drains will need to be open and not blocked. If you don't have proper drains as with some older pools, get some sand bags to protect some lower areas that may flood into your home.

It's a time to DRAIN some water... save some in buckets for a week or 2 to let the chemicals reduce and then use in planters.
