Screen Actor La

Oh, here's a good one:

WARNING: This was reposted on a Reddit page but it is from ABC so I thought I would mention this. One of the mom was concerned that LA Actor etc.. could be mistaken for Screen Actor LA and she said that it comes up when people google us:

This is what this parent, she's cute, wrote on that Reddit page, and I am pasting the post, as it looks like they now took Rebecca's response down, while the post about the ABC show, is obviously irrelevant to us. Yet, the title "LA Actor" has it pop up when people search our name: Screen Actor LA.

Why is there a link coming up about an “LA actor” who got scammed by some person pretending to be in casting under my school’s name? And Screen Actor LA is not an agency, it’s an institute of the arts with top agents coming in.—my son got signed.. My son is on their new amazing movie! As indeed, they also produce movies—big productions and teach acting, focusing on developing skills to book work, Screen Actor LA offer amazing trainings, and get actors on major work via top agents, One of my kid’s classmate is on Abbott Elementary. The LA actor who got scammed if anybody did, did not get scammed by my kid’s school. It’s easy to have something come up that’s under the wrong name. LA Actor vs Screen Actor LA. Weird. My kid’s agent charges percentages only. 10% on acting and 20% on modeling."

Conclusion:
Nobody in casting will ask you for money to cast you on a commercial or any job! It is against the law, by the way. If that really happened the perpetrator should get arrested.

Rules, and also, IT'S THE LAW!
Casting directors get talent cast on productions.
They get paid by the producers. They do not get paid by actors!
Talent agents submit actors to castings and get a PERCENTAGE of the actors' income.
Top agencies like Aqua, LA Talent AEFH etc etc...come to our institute. They sign up our kids and adults, and only get paid when you work on percentage basis. (Just like that mom wrote in her post: 10% for acting and 20% for modeling.)
They come to us as they trust the education we offer, as our graduates book more than anyone else in the industry.
We are an acting school, and are tuition based by law, and only accept the children and adults for whom we know it's going to work! We have been 100% accurate in our assessments, within our evaluation process. We are not allowed by law to charge percentages. We give you the result of our evaluations, and again, even though we are by law not allowed to give any guaranties, we are always accurate.

BE VERY CAREFUL WHO YOU DEAL WITH! While the internet is not always accurate, a segment on ABC news needs to be taken seriously!

As far as we are concerned, a visit at our institute, and speaking to other parents will give you a perfect sense of who we are.

So I could not find this, but if you come across that "LA Actor" post, it's not us obviously. We are (Screen Actor LA). --Mary, (Face Book Lady).
