Addison doesn’t give herself enough credit to recognize how far she’s come!! 2025 she was Champion Short Stirrup Hunters with Teddy and now moving into her third year owning him at 11 years old she was Reserve Champion Small Medium Children’s Pony Hunter’s winning a trip and the under saddle. Not only that but also with her newer pony Honey I’m Good she debuted in the 2’6 Large Children’s Pony Hunters earning 6th in one round and like some other green kids and ponies Sunday nerves got the best of them. There will be years you move up and years you stay where you are and benefits with either. For us we have a plan and giving the Large Children’s a try last week was an important step to take and learn from. This is supposed to be fun but, that doesn’t mean it isn’t hard and we build resilience and gain experience every opportunity we give ourselves a chance to try. Keep working at it, it gets better!! Day 2 of the baby green hunters with Rightfully So RFB is a dream come true that a lot of people helped make possible. Thank you for taking a special trip up to shoot us today!! When Rodger came to me last year he was a raw just four year old. We were leaving for HITS within a few days and so Rodger came for the experience before I had even ridden him. We lunged, we walked, we explored the bridges and he took a lot of naps. This work allowed us to be so comfortable a year later stepping into the ring to show. The foundation given to Rodger is the same philosophy I have for my students to be successful. Big picture is where do you want to end up and the small steps along the way get us there. Thank you to everyone’s kindness cheering us on, it means a lot!! ❤️
