I’ll never be less than what His grace has made me, and yet I’ll never finish growing in Christ who saved me.

God never calls people accidentally. Every calling carries divine purpose, intentional design, and heaven’s investment within it. But while the call may be given freely, fulfillment is connected to our response. Scripture says, “Many are called, but few are chosen” (Matthew 22:14). Notice this is the conclusion of the parable of the wedding feast. Many received the invitation, but only a few responded appropriately to fulfill what was requested. The issue was never God’s willingness to call - the issue was humanity’s willingness to respond. The chosen are not merely the talented or gifted; they are the surrendered. They allow God to shape them through process, correct them through wisdom, stretch them beyond comfort, and lead them past fear, pride, and excuses. Calling may happen in a moment, but becoming happens through obedience over time. God has placed purpose within every one of us, yet purpose must be pursued. Too often, what God planted deeply within a person remains buried beneath distraction, hesitation, insecurity, or convenience. The real tragedy is not dying without talent but leaving this life with unfulfilled purpose and potential still hidden inside. May we not merely hear God’s invitation but answer it wholeheartedly. For when we surrender to His process, we become what He always called us to be.
