Beginning on June 1st, we will no longer be able to approve prescription requests submitted by external online pharmacies, including companies such as Chewy and 1-800-PetMeds.
This decision was made with your pet’s safety and the quality of care we provide in mind. Over time we’ve seen repeated issues with outside pharmacies—incorrect medications or dosages, long and unpredictable approval and delivery delays, lost prescriptions, and other problems outside our control. These situations can cause stress for you and disruption or risk for your pet’s treatment. Moving prescriptions to our hospital’s online pharmacy allows us to ensure correct fulfillment, faster approvals, reliable deliveries, and immediate support if any issue arises.
As a convenient alternative, we invite you to use our hospital’s online pharmacy for your pet’s medications and prescription diets. Our online pharmacy offers pricing comparable to the online retailers many of you already use, along with frequent promotions and discounts. Most importantly, prescriptions submitted through our pharmacy can be approved quickly and efficiently by our medical team, often with just the click of a button. If you prefer to continue using an outside pharmacy, we are still happy to provide you with a written prescription that you can submit to a pharmacy of your choice.

We recently conducted a review of parasite control products for our patients.
