My friend Diana recently asked me to make a birthday cake for her friend Eddie.

The cake was a Strawberry with Strawberry buttercream frosting (both made with Strawberry Jam). Thanks Diana for allowing me to be a part of Eddie's celebration!

Mahjong anyone??

What fun this past week - my first time making cookies to look like Mahjong (Americanized to "MahJongg") tiles. The cookies were Vanilla Almond with royal icing with a hint of lemon, and then hand-painted with icing for the Mahjong symbols. My new friend Lisa asked me to make the cookies for one of the Mahjong classes she attends. This game is quite the test in strategy and skill, as well as a great way to fellowship with others. Lisa is an active participant in MahJongg With A Mission and the instructor Julie teaches the free classes, but collects donations for worthy causes.

Hello everyone,

This past weekend I was blessed to make a few dozen cupcakes for a very special little boy's 3rd birthday party - Cooper. His mom (Angie) asked for Strawberry, Vanilla, and Chocolate cupcakes to celebrate the occasion - each dozen had the matching flavor of buttercream frosting. Then Angie added some super fun toppers to each cupcake - they had Cooper's picture and some of his favorite trucks and other vehicles. Just so cute! As you can see in one of the pictures, I think Cooper approved of the cupcakes 😁😁 It was my pleasure to help them celebrate his birthday.
