We honor powerful mothers today on Mother's Day -- and we affirm that a key part of honoring moms is giving women the choice to decide if, when, and how to become a mother.

Motherhood should never be forced. It should always be supported, it should always be safe.

At Alabama Cohosh, we believe in providing women with access to emergency contraception and abortion care plans when they aren't ready for motherhood, and we believe in helping women as they become mothers through free breast pumps and free rides to pregnancy care appointments.

Move, Breathe, Give: will be a gentle, all-levels, virtual yoga class offered as part of our annual fundraiser. This class is a chance to slow down, take a breath, and move your body in a way that feels good while supporting the important work of Alabama Cohosh!

Led by Anne Marie, this all-levels practice will include simple, accessible movement, breath, and relaxation. No yoga experience needed. Whether you’re on a mat or a comfortable surface at home, you’ll be able to follow along and make the practice your own.

Celebrate Black Maternal Health Week with us! Alabama Cohosh always seeks to center the experiences of Black women and birthing people in Alabama and to affirm the joy and flourishing each Black woman in Alabama truly deserves. To support the health of Black moms, we offer free breast pumps, Black student midwife scholarships, and free rides to reproductive care appointments.
