Everyone starts somewhere, and sometimes the best career advice comes from those who've already walked the path. 💙💬

We went across campus asking HudsonAlpha researchers and leaders one simple question: What's the best career advice you've ever received, or what advice would you give to someone just starting out?

The answers were thoughtful and a great reminder that every career journey is different, but a little guidance can go a long way.

Now it's your turn! What's the best career advice you've ever received? Drop it in the comments and help inspire someone who's just getting started. 👇

The biggest discoveries rarely happen overnight. They come from testing, refining, repeating experiments, and asking the same questions in new ways. Every trial brings researchers one step closer to understanding something new.🧬🔬

That's exactly what Kim Newberry, a researcher in the Myers Lab, does every day. Her work focuses on studying the human genome to better understand how changes in gene expression and allelic variation contribute to human health and disease.

Because in science, progress isn't always measured by one big moment. Sometimes it's built through the small, consistent steps that lead to the next discovery. 💙
