FMCSA, NHTSA withdraw prior proposals to mandate speed limiters on trucks The 2016 joint rulemaking proposal between FMCSA and NHTSA to mandate speed limiters on heavy-duty trucks is being officially withdrawn, along with FMCSA's 2022 effort to require limiters on trucks equipped with ECUs.
