Next Friday! Kid Static and the Cosmic Connection are playing with Sweet Limb at Flamingo Cantina in Austin, TX.

Over the past few weeks I took on a really cool challenge. We were asked to play a charity event to support musicians in need in Texas through Hoots For Help. The hook was that each band had to play as another known band. One act did Notorious BIG, another act did Outkast. We did a full set as Anderson Paak.

I always sang around the house but never to a point where I would or wanted to do it in front of people. Practicing for this show and learning the songs and using my voice in this new way has sparked something. Definitely want to do it more.

Hi! Been a second. Just wanted to update you on what's going on behind the scenes. I'm working on new music to bother you with! I'm also working on new visuals and images and art pieces to support that new music. The new stuff is even further in the throwback funky direction as the last few songs you heard on the Gold EP. I'll be starting to share mid September.

Gold is a song about renewal, rebirth and the self discovery that comes after massive upheaval in life. The weight of other people's expectations can be heavy. Struggling for years, working long hours until mind and body are tired, we can only hope to wake up one day and realize that the person we see in the mirror is worth more than that.
