What happens when biology becomes the canvas? 🧬🎨

Students in Math & Science Chair Dr. Kirt Wackford, PhD, took a different approach to their Biology final, demonstrating their understanding of biological concepts through original works of art. Across a wide range of artistic disciplines, students created thoughtful pieces that blended scientific knowledge with creative expression. Dr. Wackford, who holds a PhD in Community Ecology and has led rainforest ecology and Leatherback Sea Turtle conservation expeditions in Costa Rica, designed the project to encourage students to explore biology through the lens of their artistic practice.
