Prarie mole crickets are rarely seen since they are nocturnal and live most of their life in extensive tunnels that they dig underground. When the males are looking for a mate they dig a tunnel shaped like a bicycle horn to amplify the sound of their chirp to attract a flying female. Pretty cool little insect find!
