The Peace Pavilion is located here in Independence, just off the Independence Square. Recently, our ICPTA President was able to tour Peace Pavilion and learn about the focus of the museum.

Peace Pavilion is an interactive museum where kids learn about creating peace in their lives and communities. The Exhibits focus on: Peace for Me, Peace for Us, Peace for Everyone, and Peace for the Planet.

Visit during open hours on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is $8 for adults and kids over 2.

Peace Pavilion just announced that through a museum program, they will be able to offer admission for $4 for up to 4 people for families who show their SNAP EBT card and a valid ID.

The Peace Pavilion focuses on providing experiential peace education lessons to all, so as of this month, the museum is participating in the national ‘Museums for All’ access program. This program will help the Pavilion offer reduced individual admission fees of $4.00 to up to four low-income individuals and families presenting a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, and a valid form of photo ID.
