But you don't need to physically make a purchase from a small business in order to support them. The majority of the wedding industry is small business, minus most of your caterers & venues.

But photographers? Makeup artists & hair stylists? Officiants? Bakers? Planners & coordinators? Yeah, it's usually just us, and maybe one or two others that help run our businesses. Some only do this part time. For others, it's their main source of income.
