And now there's a new revelation: Morales extended a no-bid contract with a company whose CEO has contributed $55,000 to his campaign — and the company is being paid from a fund intended to compensate crime victims. Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith* is stoking fears of a takeover by Muslims, who account for less than 1% of the state's population.

Challengers are branding fellow conservatives in their own party as "liberal." What those incumbent state lawmakers did was heed their constituents and reject the president's demand to redraw Indiana congressional districts. U.S. Sen. Jim Banks is bankrolling many of the attack ads, though they don't mention his name.
