What a night discussing 2006 Super Bowl memories with the fellas. I remember that day like it was yesterday and will never forget that feeling. Thank you for setting up an epic reunion in front of our fans.

What an honor it was to have Dwight Freeney Day at the Connecticut State Capital! Thank you for organizing this once in a lifetime moment. Here’s some more info from ‘s article about the day.

Among the politicians who came out to honor Freeney Friday were Lt. Governor Susan Bycewicz, U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Speaker of the Connecticut House of Representatives Matt Ritter, and Hartford mayor Arunan Arulampalam. Friday’s ceremony was organized by State Rep. Bobby Gibson, who was the defensive coordinator at Bloomfield High under Cochran during Freeney’s scholastic days.

“You don’t get to this place to just hold on to it. You have to give back so others can have that opportunity,” Freeney said. “I didn’t have that guy growing up. I wish I had a Hall of Famer or somebody from the NFL come back and give us advice. What to do? How to do it? I’m that guy for you guys. I’m that resource. This is home. Everywhere I go, this is home. The truth is I can kind of help them and prepare them for things that potentially could happen for them, things they don’t understand yet. If they have aspirations of being where I am today, I can help them. Giving back to our youth is a big thing for me.”

I’m humbled and honored to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this week. During my career on the field, I was driven by passion, determination, and teamwork—the same values that fuel my commitment to raising awareness for organ donation.
