Sailing4Sight

Thank you to Dr. Hearne for opening his office and his heart by helping the children of Jennings Co. IN providing free eye refractions along with Sailing4Sight providing the free eye glasses for the children. We have a full house scheduled of 30+ children referred to us by their school nurses. Each child will be checked for vision, have the opportunity to select a free frame and will have lenses ordered all at no charge to their family. Each scheduled child will also have the opportunity while supplies last to take home a gift bag with many fun and useful items donated by local businesses, individuals, and professionals.

Thank you!!! to Dr. Monroe and all the volunteers who make these programs possible. Each child received a gift bag when they left the event. Dr. Monroe and her husband who also farm, helped donate to our gift bags by providing a dozen eggs for each family in attendance along with a bible for each child to take home.

When you donate here is exactly where your money goes. Not to salaries or perks! It goes to help provide less fortunate children the opportunity to see better. You would be amazed at the poor vision many of these children tolerate not knowing what its like to be able to see the books or boards clearly. Many just need good vision to give them a chance! You might think with all the government & insurance opportunity everyone is covered. You would be surprised at how many children fall between the cracks of those programs, and thats where we come in.

A huge thank you to Optometrist Dr. Marcia Monroe, of 915 W. Brown St. in Seymour, Indiana along with 501 C-3 public charity Sailing4Sight. Together, with volunteers donated time and talents to provide free eye exams and eyeglasses for less fortunate school age children from the Seymour community.
