As Camp Discovery wraps up for another unforgettable summer today, it feels like the perfect time to celebrate a little of its history as part of Dayspring's 40th anniversary.
What began as a vision in 2002 grew into a fully developed day camp by 2011, creating a safe, caring place where kids can play, learn, make friends, build confidence, and enjoy the simple experiences every child deserves. This summer, they painted, built, explored, splashed through pool days, and enjoyed exciting field trips. They laughed, got wonderfully messy, and made memories that will last long after summer ends.

Lindsey is a school social worker by day and the creator behind Bear and Mouse Studio by heart. She handcrafted crochet plushies for our Camp Discovery kids and brought them in, and the kids were absolutely taken by the artistry and love in each one.
We are so grateful for supporters like Lindsey. This is exactly the kind of love that makes Dayspring feel like home.

Faces of Hope celebrates the people who make Dayspring what it is today. From staff and volunteers to families and community partners, each story reminds us that hope grows through people who choose to care. Today, we're honored to introduce Gabriel Hamilton.
Since 2022, Gabriel has spent his summers as a Camp Discovery counselor, encouraging children, creating joyful moments, and helping make summer a time they'll always remember. In this short video, he shares why serving at Dayspring has meant so much to him and why this place holds a special place in his heart.
